Those Things we Take for Granted

In the list of things we take for granted, there is the box of plastic film with the little metal cutter. Sounds like a petty thing, but really, cutting the plastic film again over the food once again and again without being able to do it in a clean way, with a little cutting edge incorporated into the box, is indeed some kind of luxury. Yes these "modern" boxes are available in some, but not all, grocery stores. But finding them is an exercise, and keeping them, is, indeed, a special task. And living without them is a zen exercise.
